March Newsletter

Another month gone! The time here seems to be flying by and I sometimes don’t see where it has gone too! March was a pretty busy month here for us, we only had one week where we did not have a team coming though which was nice but it defiantly seemed to speed things up a little more. I should get used to it with our busy summer just around the corner. As you can see by the pictures, life her in the Dominican Republic is pretty great! These kids are amazing and defiantly keep me on my toes but I love them to death! Yaffrasi has become my shadow in the last few weeks, got to love her! No major mishaps of stitches or other issues really this month at Genesis which is great news! These two boys, Polo and Rances, keep me laughing which is good for the soul. Little Alfri, so cute and making progress everyday in my opinion! Life wouldn’t be life if you were not a little goofy from time to time which is an explanation of the last picture here!  There has been a lot of things that God has put on my mind lately, a lot having to do which this place and the people here. I might have said this before but I feel at home here and comfortable here, which has been making me think that one day in the near future I could come back here, for missions. This is exciting and yet at the same time a little scary, but a concept that was at one time way out there for me has become something that God has put close to my heart. So a lot to pray about and consider at this time and its hard not to get caught up in the what could be while I am here but I am taking in everything and letting the Lord lead me in the here and now.  Some things to pray about for here are that SI will continue to be a light to the people here. For the school Genesis where I am working, for the teachers and administration here. They are amazing and have so much love for the kids, pray that they would continue to be a light in the lives of these kids, and that we would be able to continue to give them this quality education that otherwise they would not have. For me, just pray for discernment in what God has for me here and possible future. Pray that I don’t rush into anything, I am famous for that, but that I take the time to really see where God is taking me. To Keep updated during the month there is always my Facebook page were I will continue to upload photos of my weeks here, feel free to email me anytime, and also I am keeping a blog. The web address for my blog is: http://sweeneychristine.blogspot.com/. Thanks for all the continued prayers, and I will talk to you all soon!
